Mississippi Arts Commission Announces Grant Recipients

On November 7, the Mississippi Arts Commission (MAC) announced the recipients of this year’s Building Fund for the Arts (BFA) Grant. BFA Grant funding “supports the much-needed repair, renovation, expansion, or construction of Mississippi facilities that serve as sites for year-round arts programming in their communities.” In FY2023, the Mississippi Legislature approved $3M for the program to support the MAC BFA mission.

According to MAC’s recent announcement, the organization received 46 applications this year, with a total of $10.9M requested for various projects throughout the state. An amount of $2.8M was distributed by MAC to 16 arts organizations throughout 13 counties.

We were pleased that several of our clients received funding for their respective projects. The complete list of recipients, and their intended funding usage, is available here.

Belinda Stewart Architects commends the Mississippi Arts Commission for its efforts to support and enable arts organizations in Mississippi.

Congratulations to all MAC BFA Grant recipients!
