White’s Creek Lake Bandstand

Whites Creek Lake Bandstand, Eupora, MS

The White’s Creek Lake Bandstand is the continued development of a public lake in the small rural town of Eupora, MS. The current bandstand replaces the previous lightly used structure built by city employees in the 1990s. The current band stand was designed with special state funding to encourage better use by the public. The design is inspired by the comfortable and inviting character of this community, and by the vernacular architecture of the surrounding countryside, including the sheds, corn ribs and farm fencing throughout the area.
