Whitfield Hall Renovation
Whitfield Hall is the primary auditorium facility for the Mississippi University for Women. This project included the full restoration of the exterior of the building, restoration of the interior of the auditorium and renovation of the office/ancillary spaces throughout the building to meet current needs. The auditorium was sensitively modified to improve the function, incorporating energy efficiency improvements, accessibility accommodations and the sensitive incorporation of new utilities and services – including modern theatrical sound and lighting systems. The original auditorium seating was restored & reinstalled to provide more leg and aisle space and partially upholstered. This project received an Honor Award from the Mississippi Heritage Trust in 1998.
